Online timer – free countdown, Pomodoro, stopwatch and clock
The timer above does everything you need: a countdown with a clear alarm, a Pomodoro timer with automatic breaks, a stopwatch with laps, and a full‑screen clock. No account, no download, no clutter.
Why people use aTimer
- One click to start. Open a preset like the 10 minute timer or 5 minute timer and press Space.
- Accurate in the background. The countdown is tied to your clock, not to the tab being active, and it survives a reload.
- Your alarm, your way. Beep, bell, chime or silent, plus optional desktop notifications and repeat mode.
- Fullscreen display. Press F to turn a laptop, TV or classroom projector into a giant timer.
- Keyboard first. Space, R, F, L and the number keys 1–9 do everything without touching the mouse.

Frequently asked questions
Is this online timer free?
Yes. aTimer is completely free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you set is sent to a server.
How accurate is the timer?
It is based on your device clock rather than counting ticks, so it stays accurate even if the tab is in the background or your computer slows down.
Can I set a timer with hours?
Yes. Click the digits and enter hours, minutes and seconds, up to 99 hours.
Does the alarm sound if my phone screen is off?
Most mobile browsers pause audio when the screen is locked. Keep the screen on, or enable Notify on a desktop browser for a system notification.
